LSE Space is looking for experienced Engineer mfd in order to fulfill the duty of Mission Analysis Engineer mfd for our customer ESAESOC in DarmstadtGermany For our activities at ESAESOC, we are currently seeking to employ highly motivated and enthusiastic Mission Analysis Engineer to support the HERACLES mission within the Flight Dynamics area. Tasks and Activities You will be responsible for Mission Analysis for Heracles mission. Key tasks Trajectory Optimisation focusing on the three body problem especially in the SunEarth and the EarthMoon three body system Navigation and Guidance for Mission Analysis Concurrent Design Studies for space missions Mission Analysis Tools Development, environmental models, numerical integration techniques, local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms Mission Analysis for human spaceflight beyond the Earth orbit General Flight Dynamics operations engineering activities. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory A University degree in a relevant engineering field, astronomy, mathematics or physics Experience in Trajectory Optimisation focusing on the threebodyproblem especially in the SunEarth and the EarthMoon threebodysystems Experience in Navigation and Guidance techniques for Mission Analysis activities Experience with Concurrent Design Studies for space missions Experience in Mission Analysis Tools Development, environmental models, numerical integration techniques, local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms Knowledge about operational and ground segment aspect in the missionarchitecture design Knowledge about the special requirements of human spaceflight beyond the Earth orbit. The following skills would be highly desirable Skills to apply their knowledge to develop solutions to technical mathematical and dynamical problems in cooperation with customers and other experts Ability to define, implement, validate and operate software which applies the above solutions using e.g. Unix andor Linux scripting languages, Fortran 77 andor 95, C Will to take operational responsibility in multidiscipline teams Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields Ability to work independently Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarityexperience with Flight Dynamics operations engineering tasks Experience dealing with external interfaces Experience with OracleSolaris andor Linux, network services and protocols, and system administration The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously.
