Mission Control System Integration and Verification Engineer

This is an opportunity for a Software Engineer with experience in integration and verification testing of satellite Monitoring and Control system, to support our client EUMETSAT. Expected start will be first quarter of 2014. Responsibilities Duties Integration of the various components of a Monitoring Control System and integration of the Monitoring Control System with the Flight Dynamics and Mission Planning Systems Mission Control System. These integration activities include software deployment, software configuration, adjustment of interfaces, analysis and solution to problems Generation and updates of software test plan and test procedures covering functional verification testing and nonregression testing manual and automatic Execution and coordination of software testing campaigns Generation of test data and test tools Preventive and corrective software maintenance User support and training Qualifications Experience University degree in a relevant engineering discipline A view years experience in integration and verification testing of satellite Monitoring Control Systems. Essential Skills 1. System Integration Verification Skills Extensive experience minimum 3 years in integration activities for Satellite Monitoring Control Systems. This includes software deployment, software configuration, adjustment of interfaces and troubleshooting of problems both at subsystem and system level. Extensive experience minimum 3 years in verification testing activities of Satellite Monitoring Control Systems following formal software engineering processes. This includes requirement verification, generation of test plan and test procedures, nonregression testing, generation of test data, generation of test tools, running the test procedures on the target system and generation of test reports Extensive experience minimum 5 years in the investigation of software anomalies and verification testing of fixes, preferably in the domain of Satellite Monitoring Control Systems Experience using tools for the automation of software testing 2. Software Engineering Skills Experience in the maintenance of software applications following formal software engineering processes including at least configuration management, change management and anomaly reporting and tracking Experience in developing and maintaining software applications using Java under UNIX operating systems Experience in developing and maintaining software applications using C under UNIX operating systems Experience with static and dynamic software analysis tools in support to testing and troubleshooting 3. Documentation and Configuration Management Skills Very good knowledge of MS Windows Office Suite applications and experience with documentation management systems Experience in using configuration Management and anomaly reporting and tracking tools Desirable Skills 4. Domain Skills Knowledge and understanding of space related standards ECSS and CCSDS related to spacetoground interfaces and applicable to Satellite Monitoring Control Systems Packet Telemetry and Telecommand standards, PUS Packet Utilisation Standard, ... Experience with Monitoring Control Systems for LEO spacecraft Experience with MICONYS SCOS 2000 Control System software from ESA Experience with EPOCH IPS MC Product Suite from Integral Systems now KRATOS Knowledge of Flight Dynamics Systems Knowledge of Mission Planning Systems Experience with Satellite Simulators 5.
