New traffic patterns on Verrazano Bridge begin Saturday, March 7

The city will soon implement new traffic patterns on the upper level of the Verrazano Bridge as it begins the first phase of an upper deck replacement construction. Starting Saturday, March 7, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will roll out a permanent lane closure that will require all Brooklyn-bound traffic heading to the Belt Parkway to funnel into the left lane.
