Nokia, Tele2 to introduce managed IoT services for business customers

(Telecompaper) Nokia has agreed to provide Tele2 business customers with IoT services using the Nokia worldwide IoT network grid (WING). The agreement, signed for five years, will enable Tele2 to rapidly introduce IoT services to enterprise customers in transport, healthcare, smart city and utilities. The company is aiming to launch the new offering in the the third quarter, enabling customers to manage their connectivity needs and assets, such as connected cars or connected freight containers, around the globe. Under the deal, the two companies will also partner on other advanced technologies such as 5G, Narrowband IoT (NBIoT), LTE for machine-to-machine (LTE-M), Sim management and analytics.
