A vacancy for a PLM System Architect mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. You will join the Information Management Team and the Architecture, Technical Backbone Management department in particular. IM is the Information Technology IT business enabler and unique IM Business Partner for Airbus Defence and Space. As a central function, IM is involved in all business processes and enables technical as well as management careers. IM covers a wide range of stateoftheart technologies and positions ranging from IT infrastructure and application support to governance or strategic consultancy. The PLM system Product Lifecycle Management is the one of the most critical management information systems, as it is the backbone that enables the endtoend followup of our space products, from customer requirements to the product delivery. The PLM system is a challenge because it is a complex system that integrates miscellaneous interconnected software solutions. You will be responsible for the design of the PLM solution, its integration within the global information system, its implementation, its operability and the performance of the solution, in coherence with the strategy and the IM processes. You will ensure that the technical solutions, procedures and development models are uptodate and compliant with the norms. You will be the development and expert team leader. Your role will also consist of monitoring, analysing and comparing the innovations in the market solutions. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities. In this context, you will be responsible for the following activities Describing and analysing the technical and functional requirements in the PLM domain, Analysing the technological, technical and commercial requirements, Formulating RFIRFP documents, Planning the tasks and evaluating the workload, Designing the architecture of the complex solutions, Actively and efficiently collaborating with the IM security and infrastructure teams, Leading andor directing the integration of the system, Leading the development and integration of the components, Setting up the integration and acceptance plan, Providing your expertise concerning the customers needs, Applying your past experience with the implementation of projects or products with different suppliers, Ensuring the reporting. This role will involve some travel for business 3 to 4 times a year in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Engineering degree or Masters degree, 5 years of experience in Information System engineering, Initial experience in project managementcoordination would be a real advantage, Knowledge in information systems architecture software and hardware, Knowledge of the PLM processes, Knowledge of all or parts of the following PLM software solutions Doors, Windchill, Catia, Mentor, Solumina, Tibco SOA, SAP certification would be a plus, Good interpersonal and presentation skills, Team spirit, Negotiation level of French and advanced level of English.
