For our activities in ESRIN, we are currently looking for a Payload Data Ground Segment Engineer. Tasks and Responsibilities You will provide engineering support to the ESA Technical Officer for the technical management and coordination of Payload Data Ground Segment components evolution projects. Your tasks will be Definition of requirement baseline for PDGS components evolution projects Support to systemsubsystem implementation and validation activities Support to transfer to operations activities PDGS Technical Specification Documents Acceptance Test Reports Engineering support to subsystem operations and maintenance activities Analysis of problems Participation to Project Milestones Reviews. Requirements You should bring a University degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or technical discipline, at least 3 years of experience in System Engineering in the frame of Ground Segment subsystems developmentsupgrades and the following Experience in SW development, integration, verification and validation on mediumlarge size projects Experience in systemsubsystem requirements definition and management Knowledge in project life cycle and acceptance procedures Knowledge of ECSS standards Technical writing Interface Control Documents, SW Verification and Validation Plans, Test Reports, Technical Notes Good communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to interact within and across teams. The following is considered an asset Knowledge of MultiMission Ground Segment infrastructure architecture Knowledge of Big Data aspects, high performance and cloud computing techniques and technologies. Desirable Knowledge in Earth ObservationRemote Sensing domain and applications Knowledge of ESA MultiMission PDGS implementations and interfaces user management, catalogue, circulation, dissemination, archiving.
