Middle and high school students in 725 teams across 44 states, District of Columbia, and Virgin Islands, are preparing for 2013 Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC). Participating teams represent diverse group of students from urban and rural America. In light of Title IX's 40th anniversary, contest has also witnessed steady uptick in female participation; more than 20 all-girls teams will be competing this year.
