Issued at 800 PM PDT THU SEP 19 2013 000 WTPZ43 KNHC 200232 TCDEP3 REMNANTS OF MANUEL DISCUSSION NUMBER 23 NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL EP132013 800 PM PDT THU SEP 19 2013 SATELLITE IMAGES AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS FROM MEXICO INDICATE THAT MANUEL HAS LOST ORGANIZATION AND HAS DEGENERATED INTO A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE SIERRA MADRE OCCIDENTAL. HEAVY RAINFALL ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD FARTHER INLAND OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN MEXICO DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO. THESE RAINS COULD CAUSE LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODS AND MUD SLIDES...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS OF MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN. THIS IS THE LAST ADVISORY ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER ON MANUEL.
