Samsung will combine two U.S. sales divisions, one based in Richardson

Samsung Telecommunications America has been responsible for mobile devices and Samsung Electronics America, headquartered in in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, oversees distribution of consumer electronics products in the U.S. The Journal reported that similar functions within both divisions will be merged, while resources will be reallocated to strengthen the company's business competitiveness in the United States. Samsung didn't detail how the new unit, estimated to have roughly 1,000 employees, will be integrated or where it will be based.
