Satellite Operations Preparations Engineer

This is a good opportunity for an Operational Engineer with some practical experience in space operations preparation. The project is initially limited to one year, the employment is to start as soon as possible, August 1st latest ResponsibilitiesDuties Documentation Operation Handbooks, IOT Plan, Commissioning Plan Development of flight procedures Test and validation of flight procedures Analysis and clarification of technical operational problems Technical support for ground control and customer operations implementation Attendance to teleconferences or reviews with customers and subcontractors for operational development and acceptance activities. e.g. Satellite Control, Ground Software Systems Technical support and expertise to the LEOP IOT subcontractor Review and analysis of documents and work results of the subcontractors Support for development of the platform and payload IOT Technical clarification of operational questions with the satellite subsystem and system engineers Work on preparations of operator training material Work on development of TM and TC implementations Support to project reviews Processing of action items Use of development and configurations management tools for example. DOORS, EclipseSapienza, Redmine, etc.. QualificationsExperience Experience in space operations preparation in an international environment Knowledge of the applicable ECSS standards Essential Skills Practical experience in LEOP, IOT, commissioning, routine operations, ideally for GEOsatellites, and ideally also for GTO preparations Professional experience in spacecraft operations, development and or implementation Excellent knowledge in writing and speaking English is mandatory Desirable Skills Practical knowledge of German would be of advantage.
