POSITION ID 3622 ROLLE FUNKTION Scientific Consultant for Earth Observation wmd REQUIREMENT Experience in Earth Observation missions Experience of operational product generation and quality control processes Prelaunch calibration of instruments Postlaunch calibration and validation activities Set up, coordination and management of scientific studies Project management in Earth Observation Have excellent technical writing skills in English Have experience in reviewing technical documentation from multidisciplinary fields Have demonstrated excellent communication and team working skills Be able to conduct all activities remotely in an orderly and disciplined manner Working within a multinational team. TASK Contribute to updates to the annual scientific Product Development and Implementation Plan PDIP Contribute to the update of existing scientific product development roadmaps and to the development of new roadmaps Prepare background materials for client activities e.g. presentation materials, technical notes Contribute to the coordination and management of studies, including Prestudy scientific analysis Monitoring of progress through progress reports and meetings Review of deliverables Preparation of summary reports and presentations on the progress and outcomes of projects Attendance at and provision of secretariat support to STGSWG Scientific Technical GroupScience Working Group and other expert meetings and working groups e.g. MAGSAG Mission Advisory GroupScience Advisory Group, specific applications workshops Contribute to the clients scientific activities web pages GOOD TO KNOW BEGIN 01.09.2019 LOCATION Darmstadt, Germany CONTRACT Permanent DEADLINE 02.08.2019
