Our client EUMETSAT seek a Scientific Technical Author or Document Writer to prepare and maintain scientific documentation related to meteorological products, and the preparation and maintenance of remote sensing and products related contents for EUMETSATs web sites. You will be placed on assignment based in Darmstadt Germany for several years. The starting time requirement is January 2017. EUMETSAT is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. You should have a minimum of 3 years experience in scientific document editing and maintenance, the key experience and attributes sought are Writing documents of a technical or scientific nature Compiling documents from multiple contributors Processing of large text documents with Microsoft Word Processing of complex documents including images, equations etc Web publishing of documents Controlling documents within a document management system Candidates should possess a University degree or equivalent.
