Senior Software Engineer Eclipse Developer

Space Applications Services is a growing company looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in developing Eclipsebased components plugins. The successful candidate will work on various projects for the European Space Agency ESA, National Space Agencies andor European research projects, in the space industry or related domains. Tasks and Responsibilities You will join the Control Data Centres Team of the Software and Data Systems Department whose activities cover the complete software lifecycle user requirements, specification, architecture, detailed design, integration, verification and validation for a number of projects. You will be responsible for delivering the technical products software and software life cycle documentation agreed with your Project Manager. For your initial assignment, you will participate to a European research project for the development of an application that will feature a 3D scene recreation with nearreal time data from sensors, synthesized into the view. Qualificationsand Experience A university degree or equivalent min. 4 years in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar, and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer in the industry. Excellent command of spoken and written English. At least 1 year of experience in developing Eclipsebased components and tools. The following experience is desirable o Good knowledge of OSGi. o Good knowledge of Eclipse RCP development. o Knowledge of development of new modeldriven engineering tools using Eclipse GEF and EMF. Development experience in primarily GNULinux. Solid knowledge of TCPIP networks, their administration and troubleshooting will be considered as an additional asset.
