Sri Lanka Apparel Exports in 1st Quarter 2018 (Country Report)

2018-07-24 20:21:33| EmergingTextiles.com

Sri Lanka's apparel exports are clearly recovering this year, thanks to the rebound of the European market and the return of the GSP-Plus treatment offering a duty-free access to E.U.'s territory. Exports to the United States have sharply dropped in the first quarter by contrast, with a possible recovery experienced in the last months, nevertheless. The country remains confronted with relatively high labor costs and a lack of skilled workers in the apparel industry. Our statistical tables provides a comprehensive view of latest and historical export trends with export data covering the last 10 years. Detailed EU and US import data per category of products over the first quarter 2018 are also available.
