Status Update: El Pollo Loco names new vice president of franchise

Costa Mesa-based El Pollo Loco named Mark A. Belanger as its vice president of franchise. Belanger, who previously held executive positions at Barnes & Noble Booksellers's cafe division and Dunkin' Brands, is charged with leading the 400-unit chain's franchising efforts.
