Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a candidate with the profile described below to deploy in ESTEC. Please submit applications not later than 15072015 by email to Mr. Massimiliano Mazza, Head of Engineering Services and Satellite Operations m.mazzavitrocisetbelgium.com cc. infovitrocisetbelgium.com Specific Tasks The candidate will provide engineering support to ESA project manager for system and mechanical aspects related to the Columbus infrastructure sustainability and evolution items. This will include daytoday monitoring of the activities of the Industrial Contractors and review of technical documentation. Responsibilities and tasks include Monitor industrial activities for the procurementdevelopment and integration, test, verification of new or recurrent Columbus System equipment from structural, mechanicalthermal and configuration system aspects. Monitor industrial activities for the procurementdevelopment of the Columbus Terminal hosting platform in coordination with the other involved disciplines Extra Vehicular Activities, Human Factor, Thermal Support the organisation and conduct of project reviews for system, structural, mechanical, budgets and configuration aspects. Support Engineering Control boards, MRBs, TRRPTRs, VCB in the system and mechanical areas. Support the resolution of anomalies from ground and onorbit activities in the system field. Support the evaluation of Change Requests, Waivers and PIRNs in the system and mechanical areas. Support the establishment of the baseline for new items, from requirements up to and including the end item definition. Review and approval of Industry Specification level for equipment of the ISS Columbus module, and for postISS elements as required by hierarchical superiors. Specific Competence Requirements Applicants should have a University degree ideally a master in engineering, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Furthermore, candidates are required to have the following skills Knowledge of structuralmechanicalconfiguration design, development, testing and verification of requirements for Human Spaceflight hardware. Knowledge of implications at system level of structuralmechanicalconfiguration aspects. Ability to work in a diverse team environment. Proactive attitude to solving problems. Capacity to work independently. Fluent in English.
