Australia's telco chiefs want Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Attorney-General George Brandis to outline how much money government will contribute to metadata retention. A coalition of chief executives from major Australian internet and phone companies demanded in a letter on Monday that the Abbott government outline how much money it is going to give telcos to pay for the creation of its controversial metadata retention regime.
