(Telecompaper) Colombian operator UNE EPM announced that it has 85,000 LTE customers, 12 months after launching the service. The company issued the statement after a report from 4G Americas estimated that Latin America has around 125,000 LTE users, across 20 active LTE networks. UNE expects to reach around 150,000 LTE users by the end of this year. The operator has also just launched a router to provide home or office voice and broadband services over the LTE network. Internet plans start from COP 39,900 and internet plus unlimited local phone service starts at COP 49,900. Internet plans offer unlimited downloads and are based on speed, from 1 Mbps to 10 Mbps, while customers can also add more voice options, such as low-cost long-distance international VoIP calls. The router costs COP 42,526.
