United Furniture buys former Lane plant for $1.45M

United Furniture Industries and McCormick Drive LLC had bid on the facility, which was a former office and warehouse for Lane. - the umbrella company for Lane, Broyhill, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, Maitland Smith and other furniture companies that were once part of the now-defunct Furniture Brands International - said it was auctioning 17 Thomasville and Lane properties in all, mostly in North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
