United Technologies looms large in governor's race

Republican Tom Foley criticizes as corporate welfare the credits that Gov. Dannel P. Malloy says are crucial to keep United Technologies Corp. jobs from leaving the state. Legislation signed earlier this year by Malloy allows the aerospace giant to use accumulated tax credits for millions it's spending to upgrade and improve manufacturing and research operations.
