PepsiCo, the maker of Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and many other popular soft drinks, is changing the formula of one of its offerings for the first time in decades. The company said it will stop sweetening Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi and Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi with aspartame, a controversial artificial sweetener.
