Just to ensure its customers are left in no doubt whatsoever about its recently introduced hoverboard ban, NY City's Metropolitan Transportation Authority has started to roll out lovingly designed posters in six languages. The notices are going up now across the MTA's sprawling transportation network, and have been spotted inside subway cars and city buses, as well as on trains along the Long Island Rail Road, Mashable reported.

Vanessa Gathers wiped tears from her eyes and hugged her lawyer as Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Matthew D'Emic dismissed her conviction Tuesday.

Transit agency: Irate smoking passenger hijacked NYC bus

New York City transit officials say a passenger angry that a bus driver told her to stop smoking took the vehicle for a brief joy ride. Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman Kevin Ortiz says the bus driver noticed the woman smoking, asked her to extinguish her cigarette and asked her to get off the bus shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday on Manhattan's upper East Side.
