Air France-KLM says premature to detail cost cuts

In December the Franco-Dutch airline trimmed its 2014 forecast for earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization by 200 million euros to 1.5-1.6 billion, citing higher-than-expected pilot strike costs and weak long-haul revenues.

Air France-KLM stock drops on profit warning

Air France-KLM shares have plunged more than 8 percent in the wake of the airline's warning that weak demand on several long-haul routes and other factors would wipe hundreds of millions off profits this year. Shares in Europe's largest airline were down 8.2 percent at 7.63 euros in late Friday trading on the Paris stock exchange.

Air France-KLM will introduce non-stop Vancouver to Paris flights in 2015

According to an Air France-KLM Group press release, the flights will be operated by a 309-seat Boeing 777-200 with 35 seats in business, 24 in premium economy and 250 in economy. The new service to Vancouver will be in addition to KLM's offering of seven weekly flights between Vancouver and Amsterdam.

Air France-KLM Group third-quarter profit slumped following a two-week pilot strike that crippled Europe's largest carrier, which said it may need to deepen savings as bookings remain weak into the fourth quarter. Operating profit declined to 247 million euros from 641 million euros a the year earlier, the company said today.

Air France-KLM to press ahead with low cost brand in France - paper

Air France-KLM is pressing ahead with expansion of its low cost brand in France and has a back-up plan if a deadlock with pilots continues, its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alexandre de Juniac said in an interview published on Sunday. Pilots ended the airline's longest strike since 1998 in late September despite continued deadlock with managers over the development of the firm's low-cost operations.
