Partner to end brand license deal with Orange

(Telecompaper) Israeli operator Partner Communications announced that it has notified Orange of its decision to terminate its Orange brand license agreement. In a statement, Partner said it will continue providing goods and services under the Orange brand name until further announcement. Orange said it acknowledged Partner's decision to end the agreement and re-brand its activities in accordance with the terms and conditions of their June 2015 agreement. Pursuant to the agreement and as previously announced, Orange said it will be able to use its brand for its continuing investments in Israel.

Toronto Hydro crews are investigating an outage in the city's west-end affecting 500 customers on Tuesday afternoon. A power outage in the city's west end is affecting approximately 500 customers as of about 4:00 p.m, Toronto Hydro says The boundaries of the outage are: Bloor Street West, south to Lake Shore Boulevard West and Parkside Drive east to Roncesvalles Avenue.

The first U.S. shipment of crude oil to an overseas buyer departed a Texas port on Thursday, just weeks after a 40-year ban on most such exports was lifted.
