The Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public meeting Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the New Kent Heritage Public Library to discuss the water quality standards of the Lower Chickahominy River and its Tributaries in New Kent, Charles City, and James City Counties. According to data found by the DEQ the Lower Chickahominy River and its tributaries do not meet Virginia's water quality standards.
