Anheuser-Busch InBev NV and SABMiller PLC plan to request on Wednesday another extension for a formal takeover offer as the companies seek more time to finish complex paperwork and continue talks on the sale of SABMiller's U.S. business, according to people familiar with the request. It will be the second extension the companies have requested since announcing an agreement in principle on Oct. 13. An announcement is expected on Wednesday announcing the new deadline for a formal proposal.

The Commission said it's concerned that the merger of O2 and 3 UK could lead to higher prices, less choice and reduced innovation for mobile customers in the UK. The merger of O2 and 3 would create the UK's largest mobile operator and reduce the market from four network operators to three.
