The Seattle Department of Transportation says train cars completely blocked East Marginal Way, a major north-south artery through the city, for at least half an hour on Friday. Burlington Northern Santa Fe runs freight traffic through the region.

A 60-year-old Wayne man was hit Monday by a New Jersey Transit bus, and then stuck underneath while the vehicle kept going for a mile, police said. A Wayne police officer "observed the bus traveling on Route 23 north and could see legs dangling from underneath the bus" while he was underneath for 30 minutes, Wayne Detective Captain Mark McGrath said.
32 train cars derail in Otter Tail County; no injuries

Authorities say there are no injuries and no hazardous spills resulting from a train derailment on the Burlington Northern line in Otter Tail County. Sheriff's dispatcher Scott Anderson says 32 cars derailed just after 7 a.m. Monday along Highway 10 near Bluffton.
