The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen and the Lola Savannah Coffee Bar are headed to downtown Austin in the space currently occupied by Restaurant Jezebel. The 6,900-square-foot indoor space and 2,100-square-foot patio are located on the ground floor of the Cirrus Logic building at 800 W. Sixth St. "We're so excited to open downtown with Cirrus Logic's 600 employees and GSDM's 500 employees" nearby, said Beth Selbe Lasita , co-founder of The Grove and Lola Savannah.

An executive for Takata Corp., the company that produced faulty air bags linked to the deaths of motorists, apologized at a U.S. Senate hearing as two lawmakers told of a sixth fatality they say is also related. "We are deeply sorry and anguished about each of the reported instances in which a Takata air bag has not performed as designed and a driver or passenger has suffered personal injuries or death," Hiroshi Shimizu, senior vice president in charge of global quality assurance, said in testimony today to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.
