Offered as pre-cut test coupons, sheets, and disks, Synder Filtration PX, PY, and PZ Polyacrylonotrile (PAN) ultrafiltration membranes are designed for oil removal in wastewater treatment applications and can fill process requirements where presence of oils in industrial effluent hinder downstream processes. These hydrophilic membranes feature molecular weight cut-offs (MWCOs) of 400 kDa (PX), 100 kDa (PY), and 30 kDa (PZ). Custom sizes are also available.

Produced using platinum cure catalyst system, Polydimethylsiloxane is available as sheets or die-cut membranes. Odor-free compound is FDA CFR 177.2600 and USP Class VI compliant. Silicone membranes are supplied as sheets or continuous rolls with thin release layer. Standard thicknesses range from .005–.040 in. with tolerance of ±.002 in. For applications other than gas separation, platinum cure silicone rolls range in thickness from .005–.188 in. and can be slit to custom widths from 3–15 in.

UltraPly™ TPO SA and RubberGard™ EPDM SA are odor- and VOC-free and available with Secure Bond™ Technology, which ensures adhesion coverage across entire roofing membrane to maximize bond strength during installation in temperatures from 20 to 120°F. This enables contractors to install fully adhered system any time of year regardless of weather. Eliminating need to apply adhesives and wait for flash off, Secure Bond Technology also offers self-bonding membrane that is engineered to stick.

ASTM Roofing Standard helps verify waterproofing membranes.
2014-12-26 14:30:40| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Proposed standard ASTM WK27666, Practice for Electrical Conductance Methods for Locating Leaks in Exposed or Covered Waterproof Membranes, will be used to ensure that waterproofing of buildings is performing as intended. Standard is applicable for membranes made of materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, and bituminous materials. Once approved, practice will be useful to architects, specifiers, manufacturers, roofing contractors, warranty providers, and building owners.
