Client and Location For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a Senior System Engineer for their productionlocation in Bremen, Germany. The organization has a matrix organization structure and the position is located in the System Engineering department, meaning you can support multiple projects simultaneously. With 1.200 employees on multiple locations in Germany and 2500 worldwide, this organization is one of the top players in the European space industry. The organization specializes in Systems Engineering and offers hightech solutions for space. These include loworbiting and geostationary satellites for earth observation, navigation, telecommunications, science and space exploration as well as systems for manned space flight, aerial reconnaissance and process control systems. Tasks and Responsibilities v Technical responsibility for the satellite system integrity, including mission satellite performance, requirements engineering, design and performance engineering, satellite configuration, interface control for satellite subsystems and payloads, engineering budget control v Managing the different engineering disciplines and satellite subsystems through all project phases v Definition of the verification philosophy from system to component level and definition of the assembly, integration and verification plan on system level, ensuring consistency with subsystem level and payload developments v Planning, coordination and control of the overall design and development process, including monitoring and control of engineering activities related to satellite subsystems and payloads as well as procurement activities v Focal point for lower level system engineers satellite subsystem and payload lead engineers v Leading an engineering team within the project, including management of subcontractors involved in system level activities. v Be our direct colleague and be our first contactpoint within the office of our client. Experience and Education v University degree in aerospace engineering, space technology, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or comparable qualification v More than 10 years of professional experience in space industry as satellite lead system engineer, system engineer or similar position v Experience of at least one full CD phase of a major satellite programme v Excellent conceptual and analytical skills v Accustomed to work in teams with welldeveloped communication skills v Ideally experience in ESA or commercial satellite development projects v Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills are advantageous v Flexible, with a strong sense of responsibility, able to work independently.
