Environmental Services has completed construction on a project in your neighborhood. The project replaced cracked and deteriorating sewer pipes underneath SW Capitol Highway and SW Terwilliger Boulevard. The new pipes will help prevent leaks and better protect our environment and our water quality.

VAS North sewer repair project - construction update 11/25/13

As you know, Environmental Services is working on a project to repair deteriorating sewer pipes in the Vernon, Sabin and Alameda neighborhoods, roughly north of the Alameda Ridge. Sewers in these neighborhoods can be between 90 and 100 years old. The project will improve sewer system performance and add capacity to the collection system.

South Ash Creek sewer repair project - construction update 11/1/13

As you know, the South Ash Creek sewer repair project will repair a segment of sewer pipe near Ash Creek and remove the temporary bypass pipe that has been in place for several years. Construction on this project is ongoing. The new sewer line will reduce the risk of backups or overflows, and will result in the removal of both the above and below ground segments of the bypass pipe. When construction is complete, re-vegetation of the main staging area will be completed.
