St. Johns-Cathedral Park Sewer Repair Project Update

Environmental Services is designing a project to repair up to 36,000 feet, or almost seven miles, of public sewers in the St. Johns and Cathedral Park neighborhoods. Many of the existing sewer pipes are about 80 years old and deteriorating due to age. This project is one of many that will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.

North Fremont and Kerby Sewer Repair Project: Pipe work is complete

The City of Portland recently completed emergency repairs on a failing sewer pipe on N Fremont Street at N Kerby Avenue. Environmental Services was designing a project to replace the pipe next year, but the emergency repairs have made the project unnecessary.

SE 45th/46th and Sherman Sewer Repair Project Update: October 30, 2015

Environmental Services has started work on a project to replace and upsize about 700 feet of public sewer pipes on SE 45th and SE 46th avenues between SE Sherman and SE Division streets. The sewers are 103 years old and deteriorating due to age. Several pipes have holes and roots in them. The work also includes adding 320 feet of pipe on SE Ivon Street between SE 41st and SE 42nd avenues.

Portsmouth-University Park Sewer Repair Project Update

Environmental Services is designing a project to repair about 27,000 feet of public sewers in the Portsmouth and University Park neighborhoods. Existing sewers are about 80 years old and are deteriorating due to age. This project will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2017 and will take about a year and a half to complete.
