ANSI Issues Reminder to TAGs of review webinar and form due date.

ANSI and its Procedures and Standards Administration (PSA) department remind ANSI-Accredited ISO U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) administrators to sign up for January webinar. It will review 2016 revisions to ANSI International Procedures, 2016 ISO TAG Procedural Compliance Form, and 2015 TAG Annual Report (including submission process). Also, response to email that contained 2016 Procedural Compliance Form/2015 TAG Annual Report Notice must be submitted no later than February 1, 2016.

Released by ANSI, revised version of United States Standards Strategy (USSS) is available online in digital format. USSS describes principles and tactics which guide how USA develops standards and participates in international standards-setting process. Minor changes in 2015 version reflect current national priorities and industry growth areas, including growth of such innovative technologies such smart cities, IoT, and cybersecurity as well as continuing shift to services-based economy.

ANSI Reminds ASDs of 2016 procedural compliance form due date.

ANSI reminds ANSI-accredited standards developers (ASDs) that 2016 ASD procedural compliance form must be completed and submitted by March 1, 2016. Within 2016 edition of ANSI Essential Requirements: Due process requirements for American National Standards, there are several revisions: Clause 2.5.2, Clause 3.1, and Clause 4.1 and 4.1.1. On January 27 and February 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm EST, webinars will review 2016 ASD Procedural Compliance Form as well as aforementioned revisions.
