Stocco NSW arrests turn to murder probe

The manhunt for fugitives Gino and Mark Stocco has ended and a murder investigation is underway after police discovered a body on the "perfect hideway", in NSW, where the two men were arrested. Heavily-armed police arrested the father and son, who had been on the run for eight years, at a property at Elong on Wednesday morning before discovering a 68-year-old man's body on the farm.

Daughter left mum dead in NSW house

When a Sydney woman's elderly mother died in the home they shared, the daughter says she shut the bedroom door and carried on like she was still alive, an inquest has heard. The largely mummified body of 83-year-old Noreen Peacock was discovered by real estate agents on October 18, 2013, in the Kellyville home that she and her daughter Melissa rented.

A man accused of stabbing a Sydney real estate agent to death told police after the murder that he "could have done worse", a court has heard. Adam Brewer, 33, has pleaded not guilty to killing Vissa Esan in a Pendle Hill arcade on March 13 last year, and is expected to argue he was acting in self-defence.
