But rather than using the usual head office boardroom, it chose to allow us into its Technology Lab - a bit like an IT theme park where we could play with all the gadgetry that backs the bank's boast of being at the industry's cutting edge.

Train christened Alternative City of Culture

David Amess MP; Southend Mayoress Janet Walker; Mayor Cllr Chris Walker; Sally Carr, Chair of ACC17; and c2c Delivery Director Kevin Frazer c2c has naming one of its trains in honour of the Alternative City of Culture campaign and Southend West MP Sir David Amess joined mayor Chris Walker, supporters from the Alternative City of Culture group and c2c staff to celebrate the occasion at a train-naming event on Friday. The Alternative City of Culture committee was presented with its own nameplate to mark the occasion, while the train, 357005, will now bear its new name on each side of the train.
