Oak Creek accepts ownership of former EPEC, Du Pont lakefront land

The city accepted ownership of 98 acres of lakefront, known as Lake Vista, from E.I. Du Pont de Nemours and EPEC Polymers, Inc. as of Friday, Dec. 5. The transfer of these properties took place at no cost to the city and is the result of a six year process to remediate the lakefront for redevelopment. The two chemical manufacturers inhabited the properties in the 1920s and 1930s.

Chatham Borough Accepts Land Donation for Passaic River Trail; Train...

The Borough of Chatham Council adopted an ordinance on Monday night, accepting the donation of a slice of land along the Passaic River that will be used to make a walking trail. Tom Luciano , owner of the Commerce Street Association, has donated the 1.17 acre piece of land appraised at $468,00.

In a statement yesterday , Aramark announced that Joseph Neubauer, the company's longtime chairman of the board, intends to step down from that role after 30 years. Eric Foss, who succeeded Neubauer as the company's president and CEO in 2012, has been elected by the company's board of directors to be the new chairman.
