Cloud scaling will be all the switching rage at this weeks Interop. Three major vendors last week took their platforms deeper into and then beyond the data center, outdueling each other on server access density and software programmability, two key attributes needed for the virtualized goldmine called the cloud. And in so doing, they have raised the bar and perhaps set the stage for one of the more anticipated announcements in SDN switching from Cisco spin-in Insieme.

Featuring rugged design, 1005 Series convertible water jet units combine 1,000 hp with 4,000–20,000 psi convertibility. In-line fluid end can be converted with kit to any of 5 operating pressures and flows, up to 333 gpm. Diesel-powered units are built around quintuplex plunger pump that minimizes wear and maintenance. Also featured are forged steel crankshaft mounted in heavy-duty bearings, drive pinion output shafts on both sides of pump, and operating controls mounted on separate manifold.
