Global LTE subscriptions to hit 1 bln by year-end - GSA

(Telecompaper) LTE subscriptions reached 755 million worldwide at end June, according to a study for GSA by Ovum. For the first time, LTE exceeded 10 percent (10.44%) of the worldwide subscription total for all mobile technologies. GSA expects over 1 billion LTE subscriptions worldwide by the end of the year. Around 441 million LTE subscriptions were added in the year to end June, for an annual growth of 140 percent. In the quarter, the number of LTE subscriptions increased by 113.5 million, over 52 percent higher than for 3G/WCDMA-HSPA which gained 74.4 million. GSM subscriptions fell by over 98 million in the quarter.

Ziggo leads drop in Dutch TV subscriptions in Q2 2015

The Dutch TV market lost 17,000 connections during the second quarter of 2015, to end the quarter with 7.85 million subscribers, according to Telecompaper. Cable operators continue to lose market share to IPTV providers.

Ziggo leads drop in Dutch TV subscriptions in Q2

(Telecompaper) The Dutch TV market lost 17,000 connections during the second quarter of 2015, to end the quarter with 7.85 million subscribers. The decline was mainly due to Ziggo losing customers. According to Telecompaper's latest quarterly report on the Dutch Television Market, the cable operators continue to lose market share to IPTV providers over DSL and fibre networks.

Snap-on launches automatic software subscriptions

Snap-on Diagnostics, a division of Snap-on Inc., has launched an automatic subscription program designed to deliver continuous diagnostic information updates for late-model and older vehicles. Snap-on said the program provides users access to the data for a low overall cost with monthly payments that are "easy on the wallet."
