We are currently looking for an Electronics Design and Test Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Electronics Design and Test Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this position you will be part of our customers electronic equipment design and test team for satellite electronic units. You will work in an international project environment, and you will have the following responsibilities Perform detailed electronic design activities for analogue and digital circuits based on given equipment level specifications including design documentation design description and design analyses up to the generation of the manufacturing files PCB layout, assembly instructions, bill of materials Ensure design consistency with the needs of other disciplines e.g. mechanical design, radiation engineering, manufacturing and test Plan and perform design verification activities as the generation of verification plans and test procedures Define, build and test specific EGSEs Plan and conduct the qualification acceptance test sequences according to approved test procedures and document the test results in test reports. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline Professional experience in electronic development activities for space projects Detailed knowledge and experience is required in Analogue and digital circuit design including design analyses Generation of PCB layouts Relevant general standards ECSS MIL standards with respect to general electrical design and testing Experience in defining, conducting and documenting electrical and functional testing Producing test software to control electrical test equipment with scripting languages e.g., Phyton or similar and LabView Awareness on hazards in testing of space electronics Excellent communication skills, ability to work in large international teams, good written and oral English. Organized and structured approach, high degree of motivation and personal identification with the respective tasks and project. Strong focus on reaching progress by thinking and communicating in terms of solutions, ability to reach goals under schedule pressure. Willingness for frequent travel. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Munich. Our client is looking for a Space Electronics System Engineer to join our growing design team dedicated to developing innovative electronic systems for Space applications. The role will involve the design, development, test and documentation activities related to new space based electronics avionics equipment. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented allrounder with a mix of experience in electronic design and technical analysis who can take responsibility for endtoend delivery of project deliverable. The successful candidate will be a selfstarter who can demonstrate initiative and problemsolving capability and ideally with some experience in the design and development of space electronic systems operating in the challenging space environment. An important part of the role will require excellent communications skills to interface with the customer technical team and with the internal departments who are delivering items and services to the project. The new Space Systems Engineer will report directly to the Design Engineering Manager and work under minimal supervision while assuming responsibility for their assigned tasks with a sense of urgency and attention to detail to deliver the technical solution to our customer on time and within budget. Position Responsibilities Review customers requirements to determine the first iteration of technical solution. Analyse the proposed solution to determine compliance with relevant standards and constraints. Create relevant technical, planning and reporting documentation as required. Develop and execute engineering, qualification and acceptance tests on space electronic systems. Collaborate with other members of productsystem design and production teams. Liaison with hardware and software designers, technical management and 3rd party vendors. Provide proactive evaluation of schedules to manage programme technical risk. Ensure engineering activities are carried out within budget and suggest improvements. Manage and continually develop your personal knowledge and skill base. Provide regular reports to management with detailed reviews of project performance and risk. Contribute to daily weekly monthly Engineering team reviews. Minimum Education requirements Honours Degree in a relevant STEM subject or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above. Essential Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant Space Electronics Systems Engineering environment. Fluency in speaking, reading writing in the English language is mandatory.

(Telecompaper) Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for a boycott of American electronics, after the US imposed economic sanctions against the country and raised tariffs on Turkish goods. Erdogan said the country did not need Apple's iPhones, as it could opt for non-American producers like Samsung or the home-grown consumer electronics maker Vestel and its Venus range of smartphones, reports Ankara news agency.
