Electronics Engineer

At the location of our client, the largest space company in Europe and a key player in the European satellite and launcher industry, a vacancy for an Electronics Engineer has arisen. For this longterm, onsite position for our clients location in Friedrichshafen, South Germany, we are looking for an Electronics Engineer. The jobholder will supports all Electronics Packaging activities and the development of new technologies. Tasks and Responsibilities Support during design phase in order to ensure the environmental and operational reliability requirements Prepare design changes to released designs and review changes performed by other team members Review drawings and changes to ensure suitability for the design and manufacturing of the product Manage all the documentation related to the project configuration Create the Product Assembly Tree structures in Windchill for the designers To managecoordinate the release process in Windchill in order to respect the production start date Create and verify the completion of the Bill of Materials BOM before release to production, and eventually to complete them Liaise with suppliers and support in the PCB procurement process Establish and maintain relationships with other stakeholders across the functions in order to ensure optimal design of the product. Requirements Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineer At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Team player with excellent communication skills Service and customer orientated person with high sense of responsibility High level of assertiveness Fluent in English German would be a plus. Archangel Lightworks is a startup specialised in space laser communications based in Harwell Space Campus, Oxfordshire. Founded in mid2017, we have secured longterm funding and successfully demonstrated several novel prototypes related to laser transmission and efficient perpendicular solar concentration. Our mission is to make 10x more data download possible to meet the demand from the growing satellites market, especially smallsats, delivering more data from the earth orbit to the ground at higher speed. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES We are passionate about innovation and driven to find new concepts for space laser communications. We are looking for an innovative, ambitious and experienced 15 years talent with a strong background in a junior Avionics Electronics Engineer and technical leadership to drive this forward and augment our rapidly growing team. We are a small company who like to do big impactful things and we are seeking someone who shares that mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering expertise in the area of design, development and test of integrated avionics to support the testing of our airborne payloads. Specific job responsibilities include but not limited to Design and development and operation of avionics subsystems for an unmanned aerial platform to meet requirements and meet local regulations. Design and development of ground station equipment power, mission planning, TCTM interfaces to enable safe and reliable operation of airborne platform. Research and select components, interface and managing subcontractors and suppliers as required. Interested applicants may also consider starting first as a fixedterm consultant while rolling into a permanent role. However this is less preferred as we invest in our staff to grow as we grow. REQUIREMENTS Required skillsexperience Experience using and modifying COTS autopilot systems for aircraft. Experience with high precision attitude sensors GNSSINS sensors etc. Programming experience in MATLAB, C, Python, other. Desirable additional skillsexperience Experience of control systems, navigation systems, Solidworks, mechanics of flight, composites material, flow modelling, structural design, fast prototyping, and broader aerospace. Development of engineering user interfaces for testprototyping. Experience operating unmanned aerial vehicles and operating ground station equipment. Familiar with routing harness design through complex 3D models. FURTHER DETAILS Remuneration You will be remunerated competitively depending on your experience and skills. For one of our clients we are currently recruiting for an Electronics Design and Test Engineer for their location in Munich, Germany. Our client is one of the top players in the European space technology industry, specialized in the development of diverse space applications. Tasks and Responsibilities In this position you will be part of our Clients electronic equipment design and test team for satellite electronic units and you will work in an international project environment. Perform detailed electronic design activities for analogue and digital circuits based on given equipment level specifications including design documentation design description and design analyses up to the generation of the manufacturing files PCB layout, assembly instructions, bill of materials Ensure design consistency with the needs of other disciplines e.g. mechanical design, radiation engineering, manufacturing and test Plan and perform design verification activities as the generation of verification plans and test procedures Define, build and test specific EGSEs Plan and conduct the qualification acceptance test sequences according to approved test procedures and document the test results in test reports. Experience and Education Diploma Master Degree in electrical engineering At least 1 year of professional experience in electronic development activities for space projects Detailed knowledge and experience is required in Analogue and digital circuit design including design analyses Generation of PCB layouts Relevant general standardsECSS MIL standards with respect to general electrical design and testing Experience in defining, conducting and documenting electrical and functional testing Producing test software to control electrical test equipment with scripting languages e.g., Phyton or similar and LabView Awareness on hazards in testing of space electronics.
