Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer

The candidate we are looking for will operate as Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer in the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality area, under the TECEFA Antennae Submm Waves Section. HisHer duty station will be the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC based in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Main duties will include Providing expert technical support to ESA projects, programmes and general studies throughout all project phases, specifically in the field of TTC and PDT antennas Participating in project reviews and performing inhouse design and tradeoffs to support projectspecific technology developments Defining, initiating and monitoring RD activities covering both longand shortterm needs, specifically in the field of TTC and PDT antennas Monitoring applicable scientific and technological trends and maintaining stateoftheart expertise in TTC and PDT antennas. Specific Qualification Requirements Experience in TTC and PDT antennas, architectures and technologies as applied to space. Knowledge of antenna Space constraints at RF, mechanical, thermal and environmental levels gained from the handling of Flight Model development or RD development at high TRL level. Knowledge of antenna industrial manufacturing, testing processes, architecture and technologies. Expertise in using antenna modelling tools GRASP8, POS4, CHAMP, HFSS. Industrial experience is a major asset. Contract The selected candidate will receive a permanent contract with Altran Netherlands and a fair remuneration in line with ESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Training to improve efficiency and provide strength for future career are included.

Your Profile The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and experience A university masters degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Experience in the following areas At least 4 years of relevant industrial work experience Specific experience in TTC and PDT antennas, architectures and technologies as applied to space domain Knowledge of antenna Space constraints at RF, mechanical, thermal and environmental levels gained from the handling of Flight Model development or RD development at high TRL level. Knowledge of antenna industrial manufacturing, testing processes, architecture and technologies. Expertise in using antenna modelling tools GRASP8, POS4, CHAMP, HFSS.
