Rotating gimbal rings let user manually adjust direction of each light beam, which accommodates changing lighting needs. While each Studio unit comes with one LED MR16 lamp per holder, each bulb serves as 7 W replacement for 40 W halogen MR16 and lasts 50,000 hr. Wiring and 12 V LED driver are included.

California Energy Commission unanimously approved Title 20 Appliance Efficiency Regulations despite sound and substantive policy recommendations by industry, lighting experts, and consumer groups working to ensure sustained market adoption and energy efficiency gains. According to NEMA President and CEO Kevin J. Cosgriff, approved regulations were based on poorly analyzed data of the emerging LED market. Vote will negatively affect growth and efficiency gains of LED technology in California.

NEMA called on California Energy Commission to ensure that California consumers have access to the most efficient, cost-effective, and preferred LED bulbs currently on the market. Proposal under consideration at CEC, if approved, will be the first instance in which CEC pursues regulatory action that will reduce potential energy savings, increase cost of energy-saving products for California consumers, and make it less likely that California consumers will want to buy these products.
