SPE ANTEC 2016 Plenary Sessions will focus on future of plastics.

Taking place in Indianapolis, IN from May 23–25, ANTEC 2016 will feature 3 plenary sessions – Manufacturing and 3D Printing: State of the Industry (May 23), State of the Plastics Industry: Outlook for 2016 and Beyond (May 24), and Platform for Novel Lightweight Automotive Composite Design (May 25). According to ANTEC 2016 technical conference chair Donna S. Davis, these plenary sessions "will offer a unique view of the future of plastics."

SPE ANTEC increases focus on 3D printing, additive manufacturing.

Taking place March 23–25, SPE® ANTEC® Orlando 2015 will host 2 sessions on 3D printing/additive manufacturing. March 24 will feature "Arburg Plastic Freeforming—Additive Manufacturing of Plastic Parts Using Standard Granulates" plenary address by Heinz Gaub; New Technologies Forum, "3D Printing with a Focus on Material Development;" presentations; and interactive panel discussion. March 25 will offer Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing Super Session and multiple presentations.

Speakers at plenary sessions of ANTEC® 2015 (March 23 to 25 in Orlando, FL) will discuss 2 technologies – nanotechnology and additive manufacturing – foreseen as key drivers in plastics industry progress. Title of NASA's Michael A. Meador address is "The Role of Nanotechnology in Current and Future Space Missions," while Arburg, Inc's Heinz Gaub address is titled "Arburg Plastic Freeforming: Additive Manufacturing of Plastic Parts Using Standard Granulates."

SPE to honor achievements of industry leaders at ANTEC 2015.

During SPE ANTEC® 2015, SPE will present its annual awards for outstanding contributions to the plastics industry to 4 distinguished individuals. Award honorees include: Dr. Richard J. Spontak for International Award; Charles A. Sholtis for Business Management Award; Dr. Sarah E. Morgan for Education Award; and Dr. Sureshkumar D. Shah for Research/Engineering Technology Award. ANTEC 2015 will take place March 22–25 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
