KPN names new CEO, changes CFO and expands management team

(Telecompaper) KPN has named a new CEO, after withdrawing the appointment of Proximus CEO Dominique Leroy. COO Joost Farwerk, named temporary chairment of the management board and executive committee in September, will now lead the company. KPN also named a new CFO, Chris Figee, who will be joining from ASR Netherlands. KPN said the new team will ensure the company is on track for its 2019-2021 strategy. The new CEO said he will focus primarily on that strategy, and on seeing how it can deliver "even more" organic sustainable growth.

(Telecompaper) Telia Company announced the appointment of CFO Christian Luiga as acting CEO from 12 September. He replaces Johan Dennelind, who announced in August plans to step down. Dennelind will remain available as an adviser until he leaves the company in 2020 and to assist in closing the acquisition of Bonnier Broadcasting.

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Idea announced its board approved the appointment of non-executive director Ravinder Takkar as the managing director and CEO of the company for the next three years, effective from 19 August. He replaces Balesh Sharma who stepped down as the CEO of the company with immediate effect due to personal reasons.
