Brown-Forman plans a bourbon barrel factory in Indiana

The company plans to spend $12 million to buy and expand a mill in Owen County to produce wooden staves and end pieces for its bourbon barrels, The Indianapolis Star reports. The 15,000-square-foot mill is in Spencer, Ind., and 50 people will be hired to run it, while the barrels are assembled at another site, the story said.

Houston-based Cheniere Energy Inc. has announced plans to ramp up its liquefied natural gas production by expanding its Corpus Christi liquefaction project and partnering with Maryland-based Parallax Enterprises LLC to develop its two Louisiana mid-scale LNG projects.
