Brown-Forman plans a bourbon barrel factory in Indiana

The company plans to spend $12 million to buy and expand a mill in Owen County to produce wooden staves and end pieces for its bourbon barrels, The Indianapolis Star reports. The 15,000-square-foot mill is in Spencer, Ind., and 50 people will be hired to run it, while the barrels are assembled at another site, the story said.

Cheniere Energy plans major production ramp-up

Houston-based Cheniere Energy Inc. has announced plans to ramp up its liquefied natural gas production by expanding its Corpus Christi liquefaction project and partnering with Maryland-based Parallax Enterprises LLC to develop its two Louisiana mid-scale LNG projects. Cheniere has submitted pre-filings to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission , and the free-trade agreement and non-FTA approval requests with the Department of Energy for its Corpus Christi project.
