One of the Nebraska State Capitol's Peregrine Falcons has taken flight, and landed almost 900 miles away. Joel Jorgensen with Nebraska Game & Parks says he got an E-mail in mid-December informing him an adult Peregrine Falcon was sighted at the Anadarko Petroleum Corporation north of Houston in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Fort Calhoun nuclear power plant is back online less than a week after its main generator unexpectedly shut down as a precaution. The Omaha Public Power District that owns the plant about 20 miles north of Omaha says it resumed generating electricity early Monday.
