An Indiana biotechnology company has won $200,000 in federal funding to boost its technology that could help more quickly determine which drugs may help cancer patients. The National Cancer Institute awarded West Lafayette-based KinaSense the grant to refine technology that's based on Purdue University intellectual property.

(Telecompaper) Zimbabwe's telecommunications companies have agreed to the government's infrastructure sharing policy. ICT Minister Supa Mandiwanzira said telecoms operators had met a 90-day ultimatum to sign an agreement on infrastructure sharing. He added that regulations that will govern the infrastructure sharing had already been drafted and set for promulgation.

STOCKHOLM, March 13 Nordic pulp makers are developing clean ways to turn birch and pine trees into clothes or sofa covers to help revive their industry and meet demand from fashion and furniture firms for alternative textiles to cotton. There has been no Nordic production of viscose, the main textile fibre from timber, since the last manufacturer stopped nearly a decade ago, partly on environmental grounds.
