Exxon Mobil was fined $566,600 in penalties Thursday after a large blast at the company's Torrance refinery in February injured four workers. Aug 13 Exxon Mobil has sold a cargo of Abu Dhabi's Upper Zakum crude for October loading at the highest premium in 10 months, traders said on Thursday. The 500,000-barrel cargo was sold to a Chinese buyer at a premium of about 60 cents a barrel above its official selling price , they said.

Exxon Mobil to ramp up production at Beaumont refinery

Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil Corp. announced Aug. 4 that it will increase the production capacity for light crudes at its refinery in Beaumont, Texas, by approximately 20,000 barrels a day. To date, the Beaumont refinery produces around 345,000 barrels of crude oil per day and has a significant downstream charge capacity for kerosene and jet fuel, with 51,000 barrels a day.
