Mozilla, Otoy team on JavaScript video codec
2013-05-06 19:14:46| InfoWorld: Top News
The Mozilla Foundation and graphic rendering technology company Otoy have built a video codec, written with JavaScript and WebGL, that would eliminate the need for using plug-ins to view video in a browser. The ORBX.js codec can also be used to render remote applications in a browser, and comes with a watermarking technology that would eliminate the need to add DRM (digital rights management) to content.

A/V Codec sends streams over PCI-Express x1 link.
2013-04-24 14:30:06| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Featuring PCIe/104 form factor, Model 953-ET simultaneously captures 4 channels of analog video and 4 channels of stereo/mono audio. Each video channel captures at full frame rate, which results in aggregate frame rate of 120 fps for NTSC or 100 fps for PAL. Codec compresses A/V streams into MJPEG, MPEG-4, H.264, or MPEG-TS format for video, with G.711 or AAC format for audio. Video streams can be displayed on monitor, saved on storage device, or streamed over IP network. This story is related to the following:Video Encoders | Video Decoders
Software Codec supports H.265 standard.
2013-04-16 18:42:11| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Based on H.265 video encoding standard, Pre-Production Software Codec is optimized for KeyStone-based multi-core digital signal processor. H.265 standard takes advantage of parallel processing, making C6678 DSP suitable for H.265 implementation via eight 1.25 GHz DSP cores capable of delivering 320 GMACs and 160 GFLOPs of combined fixed- and floating-point performance. Video coding algorithms employed in H.265 codec are optimized for execution on Advantech's DSPC-8681 and DSPC-8682 PCIe cards.
