CDC funds of $1m aimed at chronic disease in W.Va.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has awarded grants totaling more than $1 million to support local programs to reduce the incidence of obesity, heart disease, diabetes and stroke in West Virginia. The state has been awarded nearly $600,000, while West Virginia University will receive $427,000.
